Strategic Objective
To strengthen the collaborative work of leaders through active learning, experiences of change and articulation of efforts in urban contexts of Guatemala.
Our core principles:
Incarnational Theological education. CMT is fully committed to an incarnational theological vision, which implies imitating the model of the Lord Jesus Christ and a particular way of “being the church” and “doing as a church”.
We promote connections. The nature of CMT is in the way of promoting links and recognizing the relationship of interdependence with other actors.
We generate self-sustainability of the ministries with whom it collaborates. We actively work to help our partners become self-sustaining.
We have biblical identity and Christian character. As an organization we are inspired by the person of Christ, his life and his teachings, but we collaborate together with other actors even when they do not share the same faith, but they play a key role in solving social problems in the community. We believe that interacting with other non-religious actors towards common solutions is precisely an essential part of Christian character.
Equity of ministries. All the ministries we collaborate with are equally valuable in the work God has entrusted them to do, and we seek a sense of fairness, reciprocal and transparent in our work with partners.
Urban Contexts, the type of contexts with which we work are urban. This leads us to work from an emerging and growing theology that responds to the complexities of cities, large or small.
Inclusion and hospitality, we love to serve, be attentive and understanding and welcome the programs with whom we work to listen to them and seek solutions together.
We generate network. We help our friendly organizations and leaders to support each other.
We have ministerial experience. We promote the leadership of teams that have work experience in transforming relationships in the community: a “theology from below”.
